The Museo Nacional de Cerámica, housed in the astonishing Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas, is a gem of a museum and among its treasures it has hundreds of glorious glazed tiles (azulejos) for which the city is famous. The city’s major art collection, at the Museo de Bellas Artes, has paintings by Bosch, El Greco, Goya and Velázquez, and a definitive collection of 15th century Valencian art.

Market Visit & Paella Cooking Class

Accompanied by your chef, you’ll begin with a visit to the bustling Central Market* where you will go to various stalls and select the elements required to prepare a mouth-watering paella, including some secret ingredients that will give your dish that authentic Valencian taste.
A testimony to the importance of gastronomy in Valencia, you will easily lose yourself in the atmosphere, smells, colours and life of this vibrant market. You’ll buy the ingredients to make a traditional Valencian Paella.
After a welcome drink, it’s all hands-on deck as we head to the kitchen and start the paella cooking class proper. You’ll get down to business with your chef guiding you through the steps to prepare the perfect paella.
Along with having a plenty of laughs with your chef and other students, you’ll be

learning some real Spanish chefs’ tricks that are sure to impress next time you cook for friends at home.
This is a wonderful social activity, with everyone having fun in the kitchen and when you finish your rice masterpiece, the proof is in the tasting! Be your own judge as you sit down with the group for a “family” lunch and enjoy the final dish you proudly cooked with your own hands.

We’ve created fun, informal wine tastings at bars in the centre of the Valencia, suitable for anyone, from complete beginners or to wine experts. The Valencian region is undergoing a wine-making renaissance and this is a unique opportunity to try some amazing, locally crafted, small production wines. Conducted by industry professionals whose enthusiasm for local wines is sure to rub of, you’ll have a private tasting just for your group. You’ll taste 4 wines in total and we usually include 2 whites and 2 reds, but our experts are happy to adapt the tasting according to the group’s preferences and level of knowledge. You’ll have glasses not just sips, and all tastings also include snacks and 2 delicious tapas per person to complement the wine.
